UNDP provides personal protective equipment to Kosovo Police to help counter the COVID-19 pandemic

4000 protective masks and rubber gloves and 500 bottles of hand sanitizers were handed over to the Kosovo police today as part of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) support in countering the COVID-19 pandemic.   

At the event attended by Hamdi Hyseni, Director of the Kosovo Police Department for Supporting Services, and Dr. Linda Kajtazi, Director of Kosovo Police Medicinal Services, UNDP Resident Representative Maria Suokko praised the police for their professionalism in maintaining safety and security in these challenging circumstances. 

UNDP highly appreciate the selfless work of the KP who continue to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, including commitment to serve in maintaining the safety and security of all citizens in Kosovo.  

“We hope that UNDP’s contribution will make the work of these brave women and men easier,” Suokko said. “We wish the Kosovo police continued success in ensuring the safe and secure environment for all.” 

Protective personal equipment and other medical supplies will be distributed at 8 Regional Police Directorates and 3 Regional Border Police Directorates. to reach all police officers across Kosovo.
