- UNDP presented a Baseline Assessment of the Private Sector of Mitrovica region. The event took place today in Business Park in Mitrovica, and together with partners from the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, Regional Development Agency North, Finnish Embassy in Pristina and the Agency for investments in Kosovo, UNDP made a Baseline Assessment indicating gaps and adventages of the economic opportunities in Mitrovica Region. UNDP Deputy Resident Representative, Alessandra Roccasalvo presented on the event the importance of enforcment economy and UNDP role in this area: "The today’s event is an additional evidence of UNDP’s commitment to supporting institutions in their efforts to ensure better economic opportunities and better lives for Kosovo citizens. By supporting industries servicing domestic and export markets through a comprehensive and scaled-up approach, we ensure a stronger and more competitive private sector that would generate enough jobs to accommodate the labour force."
