- UNDP has launched today its 2016 outreach Campaign to promote mediation as a viable alternative dispute resolution mechanism, which is part of the UNDP Rule of Law project. This year’s campaign aims to focus on a more targeted audience, the students of the Faculty of Law (University of Prishtina). “Being fully aware of the major role that young have to play in reaching the Strategic Development Goals (SDGs), we intend to channel our communication through young students, who are tomorrow’s lawyers, prosecutors, judges or mediators. By targeting law students, we intend to rise their awareness on a specific issue they will surely face in their professional life” UNDP Support to Strengthening the Rule of Law Project Officer and the moderator of the event, noted. The panel, invited to awake youth’ interest for mediation, was excited before taking the floor. From a strategic perspective to an operational one, the panelists had the challenging task to convince the students of the importance of mediation.
